ah, the T1i, here that camera was sold as a '500D'... same animal, different country. I only ask, because with a SLR the aperture can be dialed to your prefered F/stop, for DOF effect whereas a compact can also be dialed to a near enough predtermined F/stop too, if you understand what the settings are changing on a compact. AKA, You CAN do it with a compact also, just in a totally different way. f2.0, yup thats explains the DOF.... and now thats interesting, Greek Yoghurt? I will never eat yoghurt, if milk went that sour, you would throw it away :P[side thought] back on track, I thought it was perfect white? I think I have mentioned this before, food photography is more often than not, FAKED! in this type of shot, shaving foam in a can is often substituted, in leu of icecream for the brilliant white color, as well as the no melt under strong lighting over time to shoot. BUT no way am I buying yoghurt :P see above! shaving cream is also a substitue for mashed potato, if a shot has to sell the menu, its got to look nice, not yellowy :? A very appealing picture, Len, Top job :D

@Fstop, you are right about that, I noticed it as soon as I put the pic on the outer, I forgot to check the aperture. I used a Canon T1i with a 35mm lens.

nice and inviting pic there Leo, what sort of camera do you use? I have noticed the DOF blur in your pix before to good effect, with this one though, I'm thinking if you could choke the aperture down a little more, the icecream a little sharper to the front of the pie, then behind the icecream dropping of with DOF, juts constructive, I hope ... but none the less a really nice mouth watering shot, if I saw it in a Magazine I would want to lick the page. :D
