Well, i never gave up, on getting that Milky Way shot was up around 1-15am the other morning, walked a short distance and had another go, well, i got one, that i kept, it is not great, but i learned , for all, i am in a darkish area, there is still a lot of light pollution, plus those stupid Star Link satellites in the pictures as well, but standing there in the pitch dark, i could understand, how people can get addicted to this type of photography.

Maybe, i have got it, out my system now, been thinking a lot of the direction, that i will take my photography.

Where does time go, just saw it was 2yrs since i wrote a blog, that was probably the last time, i posted a picture in here, till the other day. Till this lockdown we are in,, i had seriously cut down in, the amount of times, i have taken pictures, trying more, for quality, than quantity..

Been 4yrs, since i have bought any new gear, had hope to add the 180mm macro lens to my kit, but not sure it, will be on offer this year now,, next year, i will be looking into, a new camera, will be one of the Canon Mirrorless, waiting to see, what the in body stabilisation in them, is like first, i had no plans to go away from DSLR, but i have a serious shoulder problem now, that is not going to go away, so anything that can, help me,has to looked into.

I have tried to shoot the Milky Way, but failed, to bright a moon, on one of the very few chances, i actually had a chance too. Might give this challenge a miss.

Summer is the time of the small things, it is probably what, i enjoy the most of all, Butterflies , Damsels and Dragons,

I am getting close to the time of year, when i will be focusing on a new project, all summer, i plan in shooting mostly small stuff, not the large landscape pictures, that is my normal thing.

Bee,s Butterflies, Damselflies , Dragonflies, Flowers, Fungi and the odd insect are my aim.

I was going to buy a new lens, to aid me, but will wait to, next year, see how i do, this year.

Just like, when i get writers block, i get photographers block, i can just stare at, a scene, where i know, there is a picture and no matter, how much you move about, you can just never get it, composition, they call it, when you do, see it.

"hi! I know you don't talk to me any more, but I have always enjoyed all your photos. I think you just run out of local landscape to photo.. It is hard to catch wild life in action. maybe you can go on an adventure and photo folks in cities? I love to see cafes, children playing and such.see foreign cities and there life styles."

You ever keep searching, for an answer to a question, that you do not really know, what, you are asking in the first place.

I think, i am kind of like that , with my photography, just now, for so long, i was just into my landscapes, with the odd, foray into other things..

Our summer, has not been a good one, so few chances for a a sunset or a sunrise, yes, been out at 3-30am a few times, to see, if there is a sunset , but upto now, not one.

Global warming, was supposed to give us, better summers,, guess, someone, might have been wrong there, the summers of my childhood, now, they were good ones.

Long hot days spent barefoot, playing in the fields, rivers and woods around me,, from first light, to last light

I am grateful in that these days, led to the love of the outdoors, now, maybe it is, even stronger..

Been a while, since i have blogged,, here.

3-48am and i have been up for around 20 minutes, that magical time of year, when the early mornings call me.

I am hoping the forecast for clear skies are right, heading to a local wood to try and shoot the bluebells, with hopefully the first rays of the sunrise, landing on them.

Had the shot in my head for a while, whether it, will work, time , will tell.

Spring is in the air, daffodils are in bloom, not as good as last year.

But lying on the ground taking pictures off them are a simple pleasure i enjoy.

I had hoped to get out over the weekend with the Macro set up and take some pictures, of the Wood Sorrel, that is coming into bloom, but hopefully next weekend now

So what is new,, the amount of photography gear, has increased and best off, all the fun that goes with it, gets better and better.

Learning to use photo editing software, is a slow thing for me,, i just take my time, still try to get most off it right on the camera, but shooting in Raw all the time, means some work needs done.

The amount off pictures i take is getting less and less, tend, more to go, for one thing and that is it.
I use to take 100's everytime i went out, now 40 is a lot and it is usally down to single figures, by the time, i have deleted from those.

Spring is, the time, when, the macro gear is getting brought out.
I am also planting a large bed in the garden to attract, Bees, Butterflies and anything else.
When i came in from work in the morning last year, just to spend a short time taking pictures in the garden, seemed to lead to a peaceful sleep, during the day.

So much time chasing bugs spent just now and then bees, butterflies and flowers.

The Sigma 105mm F2.8 does and nice job and my homemade diffuser works nice in combo with it.

Soon it will be fungi time and i am looking forward to that
